Quick setup, stable connection

Got a Shared Node for Polygon. Setup was fast. Connection has been stable. No issues since starting. Pretty good.

Good experience with Dedicated Node

I ordered a Dedicated Node for Ethereum last month. The ordering process was straightforward on their site, no real hiccups there. Delivery of the access details was quick, I got the connection info within an hour. I needed a bit of clarification on the gRPC API setup, so I pinged their support. They responded in a few hours, which was decent, and helped me sort it out. The node itself has been performing well, stable connections, no unexpected downtime. It's been a good experience overall for my dApp development, certainly helps with predictable performance compared to some shared services I've tried.

Reliable for Avalanche RPC

I've used GetBlock for my Avalanche RPC needs multiple times now. This last order, a dedicated Avalanche RPC, was just as consistent as my previous ones. Always reliable, and the uptime has been solid for my projects. That's why I keep coming back.

Good value for a first-timer

As a first-time buyer, I was really looking at the costs. I grabbed a Shared Node for Solana during a time when they had an annual commitment offer, which gave a decent discount. The 40,000 free daily requests on the free tier initially caught my eye, but I needed more for my testing. The paid plan for the Shared Node seemed like a good deal compared to other providers I checked out, especially with the annual saving. It felt worth the money I spent for the access I got. No complaints on the value side.

Easy to get started

So I needed to connect my project to the Binance Smart Chain, and my friend told me to check out GetBlock. I just signed up for their free tier to start, you know, just to see how it was. Getting the RPC endpoint was super easy. It just worked. Didn't hit any snags or anything. It felt pretty smooth, honestly. I liked that I could just jump in.

Thinking of switching from Infura, how does GetBlock stack up? Especially for Ethereum dev.

K Kyle Martinez 3 weeks ago
I use both actually. GetBlock's free tier is way more generous, 40k daily requests is solid for small projects. Infura can get pricey fast.

Yeah, I moved my side project to GetBlock's dedicated node for Polygon. Performance feels snappier, and their support was decent when I had a weird config issue. Depends on your scale I guess, but for me it's been a good switch.

how do i get the 40k free requests everyone talks about?

K Katie Taylor 2 weeks ago
Just sign up, it's their standard free tier. You get 40,000 requests per day automatically.

Yup, no promo code needed for that part. It's just built into their freemium model. Super useful for testing stuff without committing to a paid plan immediately.

Is there usually a discount for paying for a year upfront? Or like, during Black Friday?

A Ashley Martinez 1 week ago
Yeah, they usually have annual discounts. I think it's like 20% off if you pay yearly.

Keep an eye out around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. SaaS companies almost always run some deals then. Also, if you're just starting, they have a developer grant thing and a startup program you could look into.

What's the difference between shared and dedicated nodes? Does it really matter for a smaller project?

E Emma 2 weeks ago
Shared nodes are fine for dev and testing, but if you're pushing a lot of traffic or need super low latency, dedicated is the way to go. Less chance of other users impacting your performance.

For a small project, shared nodes with the free tier might be enough to start. You can always upgrade later if you hit rate limits or notice slowdowns. It's easy to switch plans.
